INTRODUCTION to DG/GT industrial AC GENERATORS (Overview):

Our company supplies new manufactured AC Generators with the following characteristics:

Ranges: From 2 KW to 1500 KW (1.5 MW) ( See spec. sheet)

Voltages: From 110 VAC to 500 VAC (Other Voltages on request)

RPM: 1500, 1800, 3000, 3600. (Other RPM on request)

Frequency: 50HZ and 60 HZ (Other frequencies on request)

All Generators are brush less.

All Generators are available in single or double bearings. (Greased for life/Grease life 40,000 hours)

Standard enclosure IP21

Simple installation and maintenance with easy access to terminals, rotation diodes and coupling bolts.

All Generators can operate in both directions.

Maximum over speed is limited at 1.25 times rated speed.

All Generators are supplied with a large terminal box and 12 wires to allow wide range of voltage selection.

All Generators are super dynamically balanced.

All Generators are self excited and self regulated.

Regulation: Voltage regulation is provided by a state of the art solid state voltage regulator (AVR)
The AVR senses the average voltage on two phases ensuring close regulation, also it detects engine speed and provides voltage fall off with a pre-selected speed setting, preventing over-excitation at low engine speeds and softening the effect of load switching to relieve the burden on the engine.

Once the AVR senses the average voltage on 2 phases it will control the Generator output voltage to within
+/- 1% from no load to full load including cold to hot variations from any power factor between 0.8 lagging to 1.0 allowing 4% engine variation. (Remote voltage potentiometer available on request)

Unbalanced load: All Generators will allow an unbalanced load of 25% of rated current.

Internal components such as windings are impregnated with a special black resin process, suitable for operation in moisture, oil vapor and salty environments.

All Generators are wound to 2/3 pitch to eliminate 3rd , 9th , 15th … harmonics on the voltage waveform.
Also the 2/3 pitch avoids excessive neutral currents usually found in higher winding pitches.
A full connected damper winding reduces oscillations during paralleling.
